Okay song, it will stay in the setist for sure. The crowd sung it with you, but only because you kept asking them to. This is an insult to every true fan and even more an insult to hundreds of great songs you have written and you don't play. Play Kitty one night and Shuffle the other night but NOT both - or replace it with an epic song (you have dozens of them, Bruce). It was a blast when I heard it for the first time at Madison Square Garden in 2000 (legendary night). Not played on the first night, so I was happy with the song, even when I still don't get it, I mean the lyrics combined with the musical arrangement. This spot would be perfect for changing songs. Nice song, good atmosphere, but I had hoped to hear another song on the second night.

I'm afraid it's losing some of its magic in the daylight.īoth songs very well played, thousand of mobile phone flashlights on, looked wonderful. It will be interesting to see how the song fits in stadiums when the sun is still shining in other European countries. I believe the song needs the darkness and the stage lights. Really don't need it, but the song is okay. For me, I really don't need it at every show. Certainly not in front of the stage where everone wants to save his place, but everywhere else. let's call it "rougher" than the spanish (and I don't mean that disrespectfully) and I can see a lot of movements there during that song. I can imagine that this song is put to a hard test by the time it is played 3 times in Dublin. I can understand Bruce' ambition to make every musician shine, but in my opinion this is along with "E Street Shuffle" too much for a big stadium audience. But somehow a momentum killer, since I could recognize how many people on the floor (and even in the stands) used it for a toilet or beer break. I kind of enjoyed the song far away from the stage and SITTING on my seat, watching it on the big screens. Great version, good to have it in the setlist. I hadn't heard the first drum beat yet, when my son screamed "Candy's Room". Not one of my faves, already heard it to often, but it's kind of fun and crowd enjoy it. No surprises in the song version, you all know it. I love the song since the first days as a Springsteen fan, when the 75 - 85 live Box came out. I liked the song more than Ghosts - would have never thought that. The song seems very important for Bruce and it seems important for him that people understand the song/lyrics correctly, that's probably the reason for the spanish (or catalan?) subtitles on screen. The 78 intro makes no sense at that point of the show, so I'm fine with the transition from Ghosts into Prove It. Don't get me wrong, great song, but for me not that much of a must have song as I thought it would be. I like the song on the album very much and it's also nice live, but I really thought the song would have more energy by singing it live. IMO the better opener than No Surrender, although I like both songs and it was a good combo on the second night.

Needless to say that this is all my personal opinion and taste and how I perceived it. The second show from a great spot in the stands. First one on the floor, a few meters behind the pit aka front of stage. I was lucky enough to see both Barcelona shows.

Ok, I'm not sure if it's worth a separate thread, so to the admins, feel free to move my review into the Barcelona Setlistvision thread.
